Manuel “Sonny” Gomez, 67, of Denver. Went to his resting place on August 26, 2008. Survived by wife, Mary C. Gomez; sons, Arnold (Judy) Gomez, Richard Gomez, Daniel Gomez and Edward (Marie) Gomez; daughters, Janet Castillo, Kathy (Jim) Thunderhawk and Monica Gomez; sisters, Velma Chacon and Eileen Miera; 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Thanks to special sister-in-law Katie Martinez for all the help provided. Manuel loved to shoot pool and enjoyed playing in tournaments. He loved his children and grandchildren. Visitation, 10a.m.-12p.m. with Funeral Service to follow, 12p.m. Monday, September 1, 2008 at Romero Chapel.
