Dorothy Ann Ramirez 61, of Denver, CO. Went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 5, 2022. Preceded in death by her mother Mary Ramirez, father Ortemio A. Ramirez, and her brother Edward Ramirez. Survived by her husband Tony Ruby, her children Tashia (Charles) Zaragoza, and Nathaniel DeHerrera, and siblings Richard Ramirez, Arlene (Matt) Ruby, and Joe (Berna) Ramirez. Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 @ Romero Funeral Chapel, 4750 Tejon St. Denver, CO 80211. Internment at Crown Hill Cemetery. Reception to follow @ Our Lady Mount Carmel Catholic Church 3549 Navajo St. Denver, CO 80211. Dorothy was born in Pueblo, Colorado to Ortemio and Mary Ramirez. She was the middle child of five. Dorothy worked as a pastry chef for over two decades with the Marriott hotel. She retired in 2020. Her interests included family time, sports, baking, going “Up the hill” as she would put it and of course DANCING! She loved her husband and children dearly . She liked her weekly shopping trips with her son Nate, even when he put items in the cart she would discover at checkout. Dorothy was a fan of the TV series “The Good Doctor” which we would talk about after every episode. She enjoyed The Price is Right, Dancing with the Stars and The Young & the Restless. Dorothy was a selfless loving soul and one of the brightest lights in the lives of the people she touched during the time she shared here with us. She had a laugh so contagious we swear you could hear her down the block! She never let anything, nor anyone get in her way. She lived life on her terms! Dorothy is survived by her husband Tony Ruby, children Tashia (Charles) Zaragoza & Nathaniel DeHerrera, brother Richard Ramirez, Arlene (Matt) Ruby, Joe (Berna) Ramirez. She is reunited with her father Ortemio Ramirez, mother Mary Ramirez, and brother Edward J. Ramirez
