John Reese Torres Jr

"John R. Torres Jr. "Big John" was a loving Father, Grandfather and most of all GREAT Grandfather. He loved his family dearly but before them his 1st love was his black 1968 Cougar. John enjoyed swimming, McDonald's coffee (6 creams and 6 sugars), and scratch tickets. He always made light of serious situations, cracking jokes even when you may not expect him to. He knew how to make people laugh. It's fitting that a vibrant spirit never wore black, he always wore bright colored cut-off t-shirts. He loved his pictures and enjoyed listening to music on his phone while sending smoke signals. John was born April 11, 1955 to John and Sylvia Torres in Fortworth, Texas. He passed away February 27, 2022 in Wheatridge, Colorado. He is met at Heavens gates by his parents John and Sylvia Torres, Julia Torres and birth siblings Refugio Torres Jr., and Mary Elena Castro. John is Survived by his children John E. Torres III, Gina Marie Torres, Richard Torres. Grandchildren Anthony MIcheal John Torres (whom he raised), Salvador, Jeremiah, Sylvia, and Elijah. Great-Grandchildren Aaron and Ex'Nihilo. Birth siblings Rudy, Fina, Isabel, and Lupe. For his services the family encourages the colors purple and gold for the North High Vikings which he was proud to be."
