Manuel Bermudez Sr. 84 of Westminster CO. Survived by wife of 58 years Patricia Albo Bermudez, His children Tami (Jon) Hansen of Sandy Utah. Liz (Art) Jaramillo, Thornton, Manuel Jr., Susan Bermudez Westminster and Patrick (Michelle) Bermudez, Northglenn. His grandchildren, Daniel (Katie) Hansen, Michael (Kimberly) Hansen, David, Nathan and Andrew Hansen all from Utah. Aundrea and Selena Jaramillo, Thornton and Benjamin Morris, Westminster. Great grandson Fredrick Hansen Utah. Survived by his brother Pete Bermudez Denver. He is proceeded in death by Rudy Bermudez, Lupe and David Trayler Girard III., Josie Contreras Arvada, Louise Bermudez, Denver. Survived by numerous nieces nephews and extended family and friends. Manual was born in Limon Nebraska on April 13,1937 to Juan and Canderlaria Blancarta Bermudez. They moved to Mexico and he attended school for a short before moving to California, Montana, South Dakota and finally to Colorado. He attended school in Fort Lupton and moved to Denver where he graduated from North High School in 1957. He joined the Army in 1960 and was stationed in Friedberg, Germany in the motor pool and later transferred to the army band playing the saxophone. He was discharged in 1962. He married Patricia Albo on April 27, 1963 at St Cajetan Catholic Church in Denver. He worked several years doing upholstery in Denver. In 1979, he joined Coors along with his brother Pete until he retired in 1998. Manuel enjoyed playing his saxophone doing gigs on the weekend in jazz clubs in Denver. He also liked to go camping and fishing with his family and later on with his grandchildren. He later would take trips to New Mexico to Chimayo to visit the “Santuario” and the Fiestas in Taos. He would call the trip a spiritual retreat, a pilgrimage. Then, he would give thanks for all of his blessings no matter how bad things might have been, he was always grateful. He would talk about his mom and dad going on pilgrimages in Mexico. Later on he would go to Salt Lake City to visit his daughter Tami and Son-in-law Jon. Sometimes he would fly out to Salt Lake to watch his grandsons while Tami and Jon were away on business. He enjoyed watching the Broncos and going to dances to see Al Hurricane every time they came to Denver with his compadres Art and Bennie Jaramillo. He would enjoy going to the “Hill” with his church family at Holy Trinity. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday December 22, 2021 At Holy Trinity Catholic Church 7595 Federal Blvd. Westminster, CO. 80030. Viewing at 10:00am followed by Rosary at 10:30am Mass at 11:00am. Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery Staging Area”C” 4400 W. Kenyon Ave. at 1:15pm. Denver CO 80236. Reception following at Holy Trinity. The Family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and help during this time. Especially Manuel Jr. for all of his help with dad and the great love he showed for him.
