Manuel was a proud man that worked hard all of his life, he was able to retire at 59 years old . He enjoyed staying busy and doing many things to keep him occupied: being outdoors doing things like fishing, camping, and hunting. He enjoyed periodic outings to the flea market , car races, anything that pertained to him being outdoors was a favorite for Manuel. That even included doing yard work, he would say he had the greenest lawn in Commerce City. Manuel was a great Mechanic and spent a lot of time working on and fixing cars. He was able to share his love of working on cars with his grandsons and was always willing to help teach them how to work on brakes or change tires. In 2012 Manuel went to live with his son Frank and daughter in-law Irene. He enjoyed spending a lot of time outside, watering to make sure that even Frank's lawn stayed healthy and green. Manuel befriended many of the neighbors around their home and they would spend time outdoors sharing friendly conversation. The pets at home always knew that Manuel would welcome them to sit right under him in his chair and sometimes even share a small portion of his meal. He loved the holidays and family get- togethers. He loved his children and adored his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandson. When they would come to the house to visit with him, he would always get so happy and he would say "family is so important". These last 5 years Manuel made a very close friendship with his great grand-daughter Brianna, he would spend many hours with her playing with her dolls, and watching her sing and dance around the house. These two became very close, even sharing TV time between the two of them. Brianna now has a new fond liking of Country Westerns, as these were Manuels favorites to watch. He was a good man, who lived his days here on earth the best he could and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
