Rae Marie Roeller (Torchy)

July 30, 1934 - April 4, 2022

Rae Marie Roeller (Torchy) was born on July 30, 1934 in the city of St. Paul, MN To Howard Barron and Alice Schliesing. She was the First of Four children born in the family. She went to high school at St. Joseph Academy in St. Paul, MN and then went to college at Augustine Institute in Greenwood Village, CO where she earned her Degree in Theology. Rae started working as a bookkeeper that led to an accomplished career in accounting that lasted over 40 years. In her youth she loved horseback riding and speed ice-skating. She was in the Junior Olympics (4 year duration) for speed ice-skating. Her relaxing/enjoyable things to do were reading, cooking and sewing. After raising her family, she loved the pedal bike. She biked the event called “Ride the Rockies” 3 years in a row with her husband - Herb. They both also toured on the bikes along the coast of Maine. Another trip they took on bikes was their home to Canyon City, Colorado and back home again. She did compete in the Senior Olympics for bike riding and won first place in the women’s bracket, 3rd place in the men’s bracket and qualified for the nationals. Her favorite flower is the rose. On Monday, April 4, 2022 Rae went home to be with the Lord and joined her Son: Gerald M. Roeller, Daughters: Ann Marie Roeller and Karen M. Roeller Parents: Howard Barron and Alice Mayer and Brothers: Rolly Barron and Mike Barron. She is survived and will be forever cherished by her Husband: Herbert G. Roeller Son: James H. Roeller, Daughters: Susan K. Motzko, Janice E. Johnsen, Theresa A. King, Nancy J. Roeller and Mary L. Roeller, Brother: Pat Barron, her 17 Grandchildren and 22 Great-Grandchildren. Please join us Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at St. Jude Catholic Church to celebrate Rae Roeller’s passing to Our Lord’s House. Viewing begins at 10:30am with Mass at 11:00am followed by lunch at the church then out to the burial site - Golden Cemetery by 1:30 pm Then an Open House at Vince & Teresa’s home from 3:00 - 6:00 pm St. Jude’s location: 9405 W.
