Raymond Jonathon Montes

May 17, 1987 - June 9, 2022

Raymond Jonathon Montes (35) born in Van Nuys, CA. on May 17, 1987, and succumbed peacefully to Sarcoma Cancer at home on June 9, 2022. Raymond was always a great athlete and succeeded in everything he did from playing soccer in school to racing dirt bikes in his later years. Raymond worked in landscaping and then went on to the oil and gas field doing fracking and wire-lining. Raymond is survived by his fiancée’ Karolyn Tafoya and their son Ray’Lijah; his mother and father, Gina and Jose Montes; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Rachael Montes and nephews, Robert, Giovonni and Xavier; his sister and brother-in-law Rea’Anna Montes and Joseph Bargas, his nephews, Joevanni, Jeremiah, Joseph and JayVionn; his brother Ryan Montes; his grandmother, Peggy Cook and many more family members and friends. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, any donations go either to his son’s educational fund or the Sarcoma Cancer Foundation in Raymond’s name. Services will be at Romero’s Funeral Home located at 4750 Tejon St, Denver, CO 80211 at 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. for the immediate family and from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. for all family member and friends.
