Richard "Rich" Frank Tafoya III

Pastor Richard "Rich" went to be with the Lord on May 15, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. On May 28, 1980, he was born in Denver to Richard Frank Tafoya II and Theresa Garcia. He is preceded in death by his father Richard; grandfathers John Garcia and Richard Tafoya. He is survived by his wife of 23 years Brendalee Tafoya; children Richie (Jazzlyn) Tafoya, Marina (Joseph) Martinez, Makayla Tafoya, and Joshua Tafoya; mother Theresa; siblings Eric, Amberli, Shawn, Franko, Monique, Richelle, Alexis, Isaiah, Kiana, Lauren, Leticia, George, and Gabriel; grandchildren Maleah and Luca Tafoya. Rich was a contractor who owned his own business “New Creation Remodeling”, since 2002. In September 2021 Rich and Brenda started pioneering their church Victory Outreach Church of Aurora, He was in ministry for over 23 years and became a licensed minister in 2011. Rich loved being surrounded by everyone, especially his family and friends. He liked working out and watching movies. His family described him as very loving, caring, giving, genuine, funny and creative. Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. Pastor Rich lived out his life like this. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
