Sarah Travis

September 12, 1941 - December 18, 2021

Sarah (Sally) Ruth Elizabeth Oleson was born on 9/12/1941 in Aurora, Colorado to Clarence & Marjorie Oleson. She was the second oldest of 4 children but the only daughter. She would boast this made her the apple of her pappy's eye. She attended Aurora Central High school. She married in 1959; this union produced 3 Rainbow babies, daughter Peggy (Adopted), daughter Lisa, son Steven (deceased) and son Timothy. She divorced in 1967 and would raise her 3 children on her own working as a bookkeeper/office manager for many years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, word search and various games. Once she joined Facebook she really enjoyed playing BeJeweled, FarmTown and FarmVille and would constantly be seeking out other farmers. Her biggest joy was spoiling her grandchildren. She was especially close to Tyson & Tyler as she lived with their family for a time. Sarah passed away at the Garden Terrace Alzheimer Center of Aurora on 12/18/2021. She is survived by her children: Peggy (Chris) of Colorado, Lisa (Terrance) of North Dakota, Timothy of Colorado. Her grandchildren: Tyson, Ben, Tyler & Carissa; great-grandson Jaxon. Several nieces, nephews, cousins & her 3 sisters-in-law. She was loved by family & friends and will be missed dearly for her mostly sweet (sometimes ornery) nature, quick wit and delicious meals. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Steven and her 3 brothers: Larry, Rik & Eddy. Family and friends will be advised of the Celebration of Life services.
