Vickey Elaine Castillo (Duran) 71, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Jopa” Castillo., as well as her father, Lawrence “Butch” Duran, her sister, Tina, and grandsons Adolph and James. She is survived by: her mother, Martha Gonzales; her children, Larry (Melissa), Josette, Joseph (Renee) and Rafael; her siblings, Vincent Duran and Valerie Maldonado; 12 grandchildren and multiple great-grandchildren. She is also survived by countless extended family members as well as her community from Lovingway United Pentecostal Church. Vickey was born in Denver, Colorado on June 18,1950. Above all, Vickey was a God-fearing Apostolic woman, a devoted wife and a loving mother. She was full of energy, love, and lived for her family. Her humor and many witty sayings will surely be missed. Vickey retired from Blue Cross & Blue Shield where she built many meaningful relationships. She also cherished countless miracles over the course of her life. Our hearts are saddened to see her leave, but we rejoice knowing this is not goodbye, this is a “See ya later.” We are comforted knowing it won’t be long before we will be reunited with her again. For those that would like to join the service in person we will be celebrating and honoring the wonderful life of our precious Mother, Sister, Daughter, Grandmother, and dear friend on Tuesday, February 15, at Word Alive 761 E. 88th Ave, Thornton, Colorado 80229 @ 11:30 A.M. Burial to follow immediately after at Olinger's “Crown Hill” in Lakewood.
